  KKCC (Knoxville Korean Catholic Community)

We are located in Knoxville, Tennessee, U.S.A.  We have more than 20 family members who belong to difference parishes, including Sacred Heart Cathedral, All Saints Church, John XXIII University Parish at the University of Tennessee Campus, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, and St. Mary's Church. We, as  a community, gather together on the last Sunday of the month at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Assembly Room at 2:00 for rosary prayer, bible study, etc. Another important activity is quarterly Korean mass in March, June, September, and December.  We invite Reverend Kim from Nashville for these masses. The mass is followed by Korean dinner, which is always nice. We also have spring and fall picnics, retreats, etc.

The community members are socially diverse in terms of age and occupation (business owners, students, scholars, etc), which makes the gathering more interesting and refreshing.  Some lived here for a long time and some of us are just visiting.  But we are all Koreans and, more importantly, Catholics.

If you would like to find more about our community or would like to come to one of our gatherings, please contact our community chair (Mr. Chung) at 865-588-6264.
